Great news! After two years we were able to open our gardens to visitors for our traditional annual Open Garden, and a great weekend was had by all!
We are once again planning to open this year. The 2024 Ashton under Hill Open Gardens will be the 45th time that we have opened our gardens to the general public.
We expect at least 25 gardens to be open for you to see on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June 2024, from 1.00pm to 6.00pm each day (but timings are being reviewed in line with your feedback!). If you’ve been before, we’d love to welcome you back, and if you’ve never visited us why not come along.
Hot news for 2024 is that we will have new opening hours. We will open an hour earlier in 2024 starting at 12:00 but finishing at 5:00pm. Our aim is to make planning your visit easier and allow you to be away and home in time for dinner if you wish.
We will of course, as always, have some new gardens for 2024 as well as some that haven’t been open for a number of years being back again. In addition there will be many of the old favourites open as well so you can see progress, or visit for the first time. As always we will look to offer something new whilst giving the best of the “old”. There is always a wide variety of gardens and things to see and do in the friendly atmosphere of this beautiful Worcestershire village, situated in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in the shadow of Bredon Hill.
People love to come back every year to see wonderful gardens, interesting and unusual plants set against a backdrop of pretty properties and glorious countryside. Following COVID in 2022 and again in 2023 we were able to welcome nearly 1,000 of you all of whom enjoyed beautiful gardens, fascinating exhibitions and the odd champagne cream tea.
As in previous years we are planning a wide variety of plant sales, garden products and craft stalls. There will be music and exhibitions and hopefully something for everyone.
We can never promise the weather but we can promise great gardens, interesting stalls, fascinating exhibitions and this year a really interesting theme.
“The Pollinators” was such a great theme for 2023. How will beat it. Keep popping back to see what our 2024 theme might be.
