Our 2026 Event - Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June 2026

We’ll be celebrating 50 years in 2027. Come and visit us.

A very heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for the 49th year of Ashton Open Gardens in 2026. We enjoyed welcoming you and sharing our corner of the world with so many friendly and enthusiastic visitors. As ever, one of the greatest pleasures of the weekend was the easy exchange of ideas, stories and gardening knowledge – very much in both directions.

We were fortunate with the weather, which showed Ashton at its best. Many of you took the time to linger over a cream tea or a glass of fizz, to explore the beautiful exhibitions in St Barbara’s, and perhaps to choose a plant or two to carry a little of Ashton back into your own gardens as the summer unfolds.

We are, as always, hugely grateful to the stallholders, exhibitors and volunteers – from the village and beyond – whose time and effort make the weekend what it is. And, of course, to our generous gardeners who open their gardens year after year with such care and pride.

Most of all, though, our thanks go to you. Your interest, your conversations, and your presence bring the whole event to life and make it deeply worthwhile for everyone involved.

We hope you enjoyed your time here as much as we enjoyed sharing it with you.

2027 will be the fiftieth year for Ashton under Hill Open Gardens. We’re working on ideas for a very special celebration.

We expect at least 20 gardens to be open for you to see on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th June 2027, from 12.00pm to 5.00pm each day.

Whether you’re a returning visitor or new to the event we can promise you a special celebration.

More news will follow but there will of course be new gardens open and some old favourites to go and see again and see what our gardeners have done to develop them over the year. Keep watching here for more information.

People love to come back every year to see wonderful gardens, interesting and unusual plants set against a backdrop of pretty properties and glorious countryside.  In particular 2026 saw a big extension to the range of stalls and a return of our local craft art fair in the church.

We can never promise the weather but we can promise great gardens, interesting stalls, fascinating exhibitions and a special celebration of our fiftieth year…..

………….we look forward to seeing you.
