30th Anniversary Celebrations!
Our 30th Anniversary Open Gardens event in the beautiful Worcestershire village of Ashton under Hill attracted over 1400 visitors from all over the country, coming to Ashton to see 30 gardens open for viewing. We are very grateful to them and to all the many garden owners, volunter helpers and sponsors who helped make the event such a huge success. We were blessed with excellent weather and there were 30 gardens open for viewing. There was also a fascinating exhibition of photographs of Ashton Then and Now in St Barbara’s Church, as well as displays in the Stable at the Old Farmhouse, including one by the Ashton Footpath Working Party and an exhibition about the Ashton under Hill Conservation Area by Wychavon District Council. Plant sales, a wide range of refreshments, and activites for young people and children also helped make this a very popular family day out. Aerial views shown here are courtesy of Aerial-Cam, from whom high resolution copies and prints can be ordered. Click on any image to see a larger version. |
